ORLANDO, Fla. – John Miklos, president of Bio-Tech Consulting Inc. – a full-service environmental consulting firm headquartered in Orlando, Fla. with offices across the state – recently joined Governor Rick Scott at a press conference at Wekiwa Springs State Park in Apopka, Fla. regarding the state’s commitment to improving Florida’s natural springs and fresh water supply. Miklos is also Chairman of the St. Johns River Water Management District and Chairman of the Orange County Environmental Protection Commission.

“As an environmental scientist, board member of the St. Johns River Water Management District, Florida resident, and – most importantly – a father of two young children, I am extremely gratified by the commitment Governor Scott and our state, regional and local officials have made to improving Florida’s water,” Miklos said.

According to the Florida Department of Environmental Protection website, over the last two years Governor Scott and the Florida Department of Environmental Protection have invested more than $100 million in natural springs restoration and protection projects.

“Today’s announcement and the previous financial investments made by our Governor and our state illustrate just how important it is that we ensure the future quality, flow and supply of our natural springs and fresh water sources.” Miklos said. “Our springs are invaluable natural resources not only for today’s population, but also for the future and growing population of our state.”
