ORLANDO, Fla. – Bio-Tech Consulting Inc., a full-service environmental consulting firm serving clients throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States, today announced that the Governing Board of the St. Johns Water Management District unanimously elected its president, John Miklos, to serve as Board Chairman for the upcoming year.
Miklos has served on the Board since March 2010, serving a four-year term in an at-large seat. Board members, who meet monthly, are responsible for setting the policies for the District’s operation. They are appointed by the governor to four-year terms and serve without pay.
“Today, there are certainly many challenges, decisions and opportunities facing our District,” Miklos said. “I’m honored by this appointment, and as Chairman I pledge to uphold and implement policies that continue to support growth, development and the vital natural resources within our District – not only for today, but also for the future.”
As president and senior project manager of Bio-Tech Consulting, Miklos and has conducted and contributed to environmental evaluations and permitting in Florida, Georgia, Louisiana, Alabama, South Carolina, Texas, and the Bahamas. He advises clients on issues involving wetlands, uplands, wildlife, water quality, land management, land development, aquatic maintenance, land
management and permitting with various regulatory agencies. Miklos holds a bachelor’s degree in Limnology from the University of Central Florida and has more than two decades of professional experience.
