– John Miklos, president of Bio-Tech Consulting, to serve as Chairman through November 2015 –
ORLANDO, Fla. – Bio-Tech Consulting Inc., a full-service environmental consulting firm serving clients throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States, today announced that its president, John Miklos, was re-elected to the position of Chairman of the Board of the St. Johns River Water Management District. Miklos was elected Chairman of the Board in November 2013 and will continue to serve as Chairman through November 2015.
Miklos has served via an at-large seat with the St. Johns River Water Management District’s Governing Board since March 2010 and was reappointed to an additional four-year term in March 2014. Board members are appointed by the governor of the state of Florida to four-year terms and confirmed by the Florida Senate. The Board meets monthly to set policies of operation for the St. Johns River Water Management District.
“I am grateful for the opportunity to continue serving with my colleagues at the St. Johns River Water Management District – and to help further our detailed mission of ensuring the sustainable use and protection of water resources for the benefit of the people of the District and the state of Florida,” Miklos said. “Through 2014, the District implemented several important initiatives, and I look forward to working with the Board on more projects that will help protect our valuable water resources through 2015 and beyond.”
As president and senior project manager of Bio-Tech Consulting, Miklos advises clients on issues involving wetlands, uplands, wildlife, water quality, land management, land development, aquatic maintenance, and permitting with various regulatory agencies. John holds a bachelor’s degree in Limnology from the University of Central Florida and has more than 21 years of professional experience.
