ORLANDO, Fla. – Bio-Tech Consulting Inc., a full-service environmental consulting firm serving clients throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States, today announced that its president, John Miklos, was reappointed to the Governing Board of the St. Johns River Water Management District. Miklos will serve for a four-year term, in an at-large seat, that runs through 2018.
Miklos has served on the St. Johns River Water Management District’s Governing Board since March 2010 and is the current Chairman. Board members are appointed by the governor of the state of Florida to four-year terms and confirmed by the Florida Senate. The Board meets monthly to set policies of operation for the St. Johns River Water Management District.
“As current Chairman, I am proud to serve as a part of this very active and involved Governing Board,” Miklos said. “It is a sincere honor for me to receive this reappointment, and I look forward to working with my fellow Board members in support of the District and setting effective policies that will benefit our constituents and protect our important natural resources for many years to come.”
As president and senior project manager of Bio-Tech Consulting, Miklos advises clients on issues involving wetlands, uplands, wildlife, water quality, land management, land development, aquatic maintenance, and permitting with various regulatory agencies. Miklos holds a bachelor’s degree in Limnology from the University of Central Florida and has more than 21 years of professional experience.
