ORLANDO, Fla. – Bio-Tech Consulting Inc., a full-service environmental consulting firm serving clients throughout Florida and the Southeastern United States, today announced that it secured three new contracts from Sarasota and Manatee Counties for exotic plant eradication services and wetland mitigation maintenance services. Services will be provided via Bio-Tech Consulting’s Tampa office, which the company recently expanded and relocated to the Westport Commerce Center at 6011 Benjamin Road in Tampa.
From Sarasota County, Bio-Tech Consulting won two bids for the treatment of invasive exotic plants – one for the County’s Walton Ranch location and the other at the Englewood Interstate Connector Mitigation Area. Each location calls for the removal and/or herbicide treatment of all exotic and nuisance plant species. For the Walton Ranch project, the agreement was awarded as a one-time project and for the Englewood Interstate Connector Mitigation Area the agreement was awarded for initial treatment of the area plus an additional two-year period.
Manatee County awarded Bio-Tech Consulting an agreement for wetland mitigation maintenance services across various County locations on a scheduled basis as directed by the Natural Resources Department. The term of the agreement is for one year with two 12-month renewal options. The agreement calls for routine maintenance activities such as herbicide application, selective vine removal, and mowing and trimming as necessary.
